Below i have shared simple recipe to make this amazing broccoli cheese soup with your instant pot within minutes. This soup is nutritious and healthy so you can have it without any seconds thoughts about its bad effects on your health. you can also make this soup in slow cooker, the direction would be same, so if you have that then try it in also.



  • 5 spoon butter
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 3 cups shredded cheese( i would prefer cheddar )
  • 6 cups broccoli cut in small pieces
  • 6 cups vegetable stock water
  • 6-7 spoons all purpose flour
  • handful of chopped carrots
  • 1 spoon garlic power
  • 1 spoon salt
  • 1/3 spoon pepper
  • 1 spoon mustard
  • 3 cup cream


  • All butter or oil along with veggies and spices in the instant pot and turn it on with sauté setting, keep stir frying it. once you can see that its done stop the pot and let the mixture rest for couple of minutes.
  • After that add the flour and vegetable stock and mix it until no lumps are left
  • now add mustard and broccoli chunk in the mixture and stir well
  • now close the upper lid and put the instant pot in pressure setting and let it cook for 15 minutes under pressure from steam.
  • once the instant pot turn off, open the upper lid and stir the soup and add the cream in it slowly,
  • now sauté the soup again for couple of minutes and then add cheese cubes into the pot and stir until it melts completely
  • now soup is ready, pour in bowl and serve with broccoli toppings or some form of sour cream etc. as per your liking.


  • You can store the soup in air tight container if you don’t like to consume all in one go. one in container store it in fridge and you can enjoy it in small quantities for up to 3-4 days. stir while reheating to get the same richness of the soup just as it was made fresh.
  • if you plan to consume it for long time then its ideal that you freeze in a freezer bag or container and label it with date. you can consume it for up-to 3-4 months easily when kept in freezer. whisk while reheating and serving as sometimes cream may form separate layer after freezing, so to avoid it stir the soup while serving.
  • you can also use milk instead of cream if you like to have light version of this soup with less calories or are planning to freeze it for long term. if you want to reduce the carbs in this soup then reduce the flour quantity in soup.
  • you can also serve this with bread chunks, its taste good to have with bread chunks.
